  Cutting
What may happen if the cutting is missing or too low ?

Explanation:
As a rule a document can not be finished without a cutting.

Solution:
Please issue the document with each 3mm cutting (standard).
   
  Barcode
What is to take into consideration in case of compiling a barcode ?

Explanation:
By drawing up of a barcode frequently colours like e. g. “bar colour” and/or “white” are distributed due to a wrong basic setting of the software, which in processing are unnecessary and which may also have to be converted in the colours CMYK colour space expensively.

Solution:
The alteration of the basic setting of the barcode system:
- Bars/text = 100 % black
- Spaces/quite zones = 0 % Black
   
  Image Resolution
What do you have to take into consideration in the case of an image resolution ?

Explanation:
Resolutions which are outside the standard guideline should be avoided. A resolution outside the standard area may raise errors and this leads to needless questions of the customer .

Solution:
Colour- and shades of grey images = 300dpi
Black and White images = 1200dpi
   
  Colour Saturation
What happens if the document contains colours which are needless ?

Explanation:
Unnecessary colours may lead to irritations respectively this leads to needless questions of the customer.

Solution:
The colour range has to be limited to the printing data that means that colours which you want to be printed have to be quoted.
   
  Format
What has to be considered when defining the format?

Explanation:
Missing or wrong indications of the format may lead to unnecessary questions.

Solution:
Trimmed Size have to be “trimmed” or provided with cutting marks.
   
  Format marks
How can be avoided that format marks are in the pressure range or respectively close-by?

Explanation:
Format marks that mean cutting lines and fold marks, which are within the pressure range have to be removed later.

Solution:
Put the marks outside the format.
   
  Protected PDFs
With the creation of a PDF what do you have take into consideration?

Explanation:
If the PDF data contains safety-restrictions like “printing is not permissible” or “modifying is not allowed” this data can not be finished.

Solution:
Before transmission to the printer’s shop all safety-restrictions should be lifted.
   
  Pagination
How is it possible to avoid a missing paging for the booklet and/or a wrong page order?

Explanation:
Not-numbered pages of a booklet or pages which are not in the right order may lead to wrong results.

Solution:
To either number the pages directly in the layout program or in the Acrobat-page-reference.
   
  Product description
What has to be taken into account in the case of product description?

Explanation:
Nonspecific file naming may cause further enquiries and may hold-up processing.

Solution:

- Cover card=CC, Inlay card=IC, Booklet=TH,TwoPiece=TP etc.
  e.g.:Name_0815_TH.pdf or Name_0815_IC.pdf
   
  RGB Data
Is it allowed to hand out RGB data ?

Explanation:
Accurate results only can be achieved by an appropriate colour conversion.

Solution:
RGB images have to be converted in an image processing program as for example photo shop in the CMYK colour space according to PSO-standard before transmission to the printer’s shop or it has to be arranged a necessary workflow on prior consultation with EDC.
   
  Scripts/Writings
In the case of scripts what has to be taken into consideration ?

Explanation:
PDF-data with scripts which are not incorporated/embed can not be processed.

Solution:
Basically all writings have to be incorporated into the document.
   
  Foil embossing and debossing
What needs to be considered, if foil embossing or debossing is requested?

Explanation:
Foil embossing or debossing provided in unseparated file format makes the process time- consuming and may lead to wrong results.

Solution:
PDFs for foil embossing or debossing should be provided separately.
   
  Black overprint
Is it possible to “omit” a text in black?

Explanation:
As a rule a text in black should be unicoloured and has to be on overprinting.

Solution:
The black text has to be on overprint.
   
  Different "untrimmed" products on a PDF Data
Is it possible to compile several different products in a one-sided PDF document (e.g. booklet and Inlay card)?.

Explanation:
Different products are furnished in a one-sided PDF document. As a consequence of this the collection-PDF has to be separated in an expensive process into single products.

Solution:
The Inlay card as well as the booklet have to be separated and also be delivered as separate PDFs.
